Sectional doors made of steel are a rarity in the market. They have many considerable advantages and only one minor disadvantage, their weight, which for motorized doors hardly matters. The double-walled galvanized steel profile used in the record GATES V 40 provides a very high degree of burglar protection compared with the aluminium model, and is generally more robust as the material used is harder. As the slats are filled with insulating foam, this model achieves a very good U-value of 0.9 W / m² K.
